Typical responsibilities include:

Diagnose garage door and garage door opener problems Repair and replace springs, cables, rollers, hinges, bearings, tracks, sensors, and other components Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Service, repair, install, and replace garage door openers Perform garage door safety inspections and preventative maintenance Identify worn, damaged, or potentially unsafe components Explain problems and available solutions clearly to homeowners Present customers with appropriate repair, replacement, and upgrade options Complete service documentation accurately Maintain an organized service truck, tools, and inventory Collect customer balances upon completion of work Maintain a clean and professional work area Follow Suburban Door's safety standards and service procedures Represent Suburban Door professionally in every customer's home Who We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced technician who can diagnose problems, make quality repairs, and provide an excellent customer experience.

The ideal candidate is:

Experienced with residential garage door service and repair Mechanically skilled and comfortable with hand and power tools Experienced diagnosing garage door and opener issues Capable of safely replacing springs, cables, rollers, hardware, and other garage door components Strong at troubleshooting and problem-solving Dependable and self-motivated Comfortable working independently and managing a daily service schedule Professional and confident when communicating with homeowners Able to explain technical issues in an easy-to-understand way Comfortable presenting repair, replacement, and upgrade options Motivated by performance and earning potential Detail-oriented and committed to quality workmanship Physically capable of lifting and handling garage door components Comfortable working in garages and varying Michigan weather conditions A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.

Compensation Expected annual earnings:
