Job Description

Job Summary The Maintenance Technician works under the general supervision of the Maintenance Director as a member of the team responsible for the safety, cleanliness and efficient operation of the parish/school buildings and grounds. Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks in support of quality standards including the following: Monitor and maintain facilities and property with safety as the highest priority Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of parish buildings including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, lelectrical, lighting, water, snow removal and other mechanical systems Perform manual repairs when necessary Perform general upkeep procedures such as painting, window washing, and landscaping Assist vendors and contractors hired to provide maintenance, repairs and inspections Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required Provide set up of chairs, tables, etc. for scheduled activities Assemble furniture, move/transport furniture and equipment as needed Assist staff and volunteers as needed with ladders, hanging decorations and other tasks Skills Requires the ability to do a wide variety of moderate physical activity both indoors and outdoors; including standing, excessive walking, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling of objects and material up to 50 pounds, kneeling, stooping, crouching/crawling and climbing stairs/ladders. Operating a tractor, power lift or picker (Wav 60) Working outside in the heat, cold, rain or shine. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while practicing safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors. Strong adherence to safety protocols and facility maintenance standards to ensure a secure environment at all times. Pay:
$27.00 - $31.00 per hour
