A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
We are seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting safe, efficient and reliable operation of all production and building equipment. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting and repair of CNC machinery, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, custom and standard production machine tools and equipment. Your manufacturing precision expertise will ensure seamless operation of complex equipment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives minimizing downtime to keep production running smoothly. policies, procedures, and work instructions are included.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance:
perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and calibrations of CNCs, conveyors, motors, pumps and facility systems to reduce unplanned downtime.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic and control system issues using advanced diagnostic tools such as electrical schematics, P&IDs, repair or replace defective components such as sensors, relays, motors, pneumatic actuators, hydraulic valves and electrical instrumentation or industrial controls. Use of DCS, programmable logic controllers and high/low voltage electrical systems.
Production Support:
respond quickly to machine breakdowns to restore operations and support production goals. Collaborate with engineering teams on programming tasks and recommend improvements to equipment reliability, spare parts inventory & processes
Safety Compliance:
follow lockout/tagout procedures, maintain safe work practices and ensure equipment meets OSHA standards.
Documentation:
maintain accurate maintenance logs and report parts usage in storage cabinet or Supervisor's office.
Installation & Upgrades:
assist with installation, testing and commissioning of new machinery, CNCs, production components, etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
3-5 years
Verifiable Experience Mechanical Aptitude:
knowledge of Fanuc, Kiwa, Feeler, Kitamura CNCs, Fanuc Robot PLC, and Ladder logic Knowledge working with gears, bearings, belts, chains, pumps and mechanical assemblies Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
Electrical Knowledge:
ability to work with motors, sensors, relays and basic wiring of transformers and 3 phase systems (up to facility limits)
Blueprint Reading:
ability to interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and electrical diagrams
Problem Solving:
strong diagnostic and analytical skills
Tools & Equipment:
proficient aptitude with hand tools, power tools, multimeters and measurement instruments. Must have or be willing to buy own tools.
Physical Requirements:
ability to lift 50+ lbs., work in tight places and elevated positions and stand for extended periods of time
Pay:
$27.56 per hour
