This role requires strong plumbing and electrical troubleshooting skills , along with the ability to handle doors, hardware, drywall, carpentry, and light masonry. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, comfortable working independently, and able to accurately diagnose problems and determine when a specialized vendor is required. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair commercial plumbing systems , including fixtures, valves, supply/drain lines, water heaters, and backflow devices. Troubleshoot and repair commercial electrical systems , including outlets, switches, lighting, panels, ballasts, photocells, and life-safety devices within applicable licensing limits. Repair and maintain doors, locks, hardware, drywall, carpentry, and light masonry . Perform preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential building issues. Troubleshoot basic HVAC symptoms and accurately communicate issues to licensed HVAC contractors; HVAC repair is not part of this role . Determine whether repairs can be completed internally or require outside vendors. Coordinate and oversee contractors as needed. Complete work orders using mobile maintenance/work-order software. Support vacant-suite turnovers, property improvements, seasonal maintenance, and emergency repairs. Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and team members. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment. Qualifications Strong hands-on commercial plumbing and electrical troubleshooting experience. Experience with doors/hardware, drywall, carpentry, and light masonry. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Previous commercial, industrial, or multi-tenant property maintenance experience preferred. Ability to recognize when specialized contractors are required. Comfortable using smartphones, Outlook, and electronic work-order systems. Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Valid driver's license preferred/required as applicable. Must be comfortable responding to seasonal and emergency maintenance needs.
