Full-time Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a dependable Generator Maintenance Technician to own and manage our generator maintenance program. As an authorized Briggs & Stratton dealer, we need a technician who can independently maintain, diagnose, and repair standby generator systems while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage generator maintenance schedules and customer appointments.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs on Briggs & Stratton generators.
  • Diagnose engines, controllers, batteries, charging systems, fuel systems, electrical connections, and automatic transfer switches.
  • Complete service reports, warranty documentation, and customer equipment records.
  • Coordinate parts, repairs, and technical support with Briggs & Stratton.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Follow manufacturer procedures, electrical codes, and company safety policies.
  • Assist with other electrical maintenance and service work as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Generator, electrical, engine, or equipment-maintenance experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and safely use diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer accounts.
  • Briggs & Stratton training or certification is preferred; additional training may be provided.
  • Electrical licensing, OSHA training, or transfer-switch experience is a plus.

Pay:
$29.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
