DOE Maintenance Tech Qualifications or Skills:
Ability to differentiate colors Knowledge of motors, exhaust, high & low voltage electricity. Mechanical Skills Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions Ability to speak, read & write in English Ability to follow work instructions, and 5S standards. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given in a timely manner. Must be able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. High school diploma or GED, Some Technical training in Maintenance preferred
Maintenance Tech Job Duties:
Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the production floor and the entire facility to minimize downtime. Detects and reports defective machinery or questionable conditions to the department supervisor and designs plans to prioritize tasks. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Performs preventative maintenance on machinery building or grounds as required and prioritizes tasks and is held accountable for completion. Can effectively communicate all the above tasks to the Maintenance Supervisor. Performs a daily walk thru to keep up with facility needs.
Required to be knowledgeable with:
General Safety Lock-out Tag-out SDS Forklift Safety Confined Space Required permits HAZMAT Fabrication Washer Maintenance Preventable Maintenance Pipe Fitting Welding PPE must be worn Ensuring customer requirements are being met Responsible for 5S in Work Area Employee must adhere to all 5S and safety rules Required participation in semi-annual work reviews Employee must adhere to all
