Job Description
Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift | Direct Hire | Byron Center, MI | $23-$29/Hour Reliance One is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Byron Center, Michigan. This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience supporting manufacturing equipment, robotic cells, and stamping presses.

Shift:
10:00 PM - 6:00 AMWorkweek:
Sunday night through Friday morning- $1.00/hour shift premium
- $1,000 sign-on bonus
- PTO available upon hire
- Benefits available after 30 days

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, routine, and emergency mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Diagnose equipment failures and troubleshoot issues to minimize production downtime
- Repair, install, modify, and rebuild manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including 480V and control wiring
- Troubleshoot and maintain robotic cells and stamping presses
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals
- Fabricate and repair machine components using lathes, mills, drill presses, welders, and other equipment
- Utilize testing equipment, precision measuring tools, powered hand tools, and welding equipment
- Support equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
- Test equipment following repairs to ensure proper and safe operation
- Maintain accurate work orders, repair records, and maintenance documentation
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel across shifts to ensure work is completed
Required & Preferred Qualifications:
- Industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with 480V electrical systems and control wiring strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of robotic cells and stamping presses
- Journeyman status or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Experience with welding, machining, fabrication, and industrial maintenance tools
- Must have a complete set of trade tools
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain required powered industrial truck certification
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of industrial maintenance, including lifting 60+ pounds and working at heights The ideal Maintenance Technician is a strong troubleshooter who can diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, work independently, and respond quickly when equipment problems impact production.
