JSL is looking for an actively engaged full time Maintenance Technician for our West Bloomfield senior community. Job Description This position requires exemplary character and integrity be exhibited while carrying out the duties of this position.
Responsibilities:
Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance and miscellaneous repairs. Respond to resident work orders in a timely manner with an understanding of how to prioritize emergency repairs. Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks. Communicate effectively with residents to provide updates on repairs and ensure satisfaction. Room set ups that involve moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work. Perform snow removal and salting. Work in a cooperative manner with all team members, staff and residents. Work within company policies and safety regulations. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively. Availability to respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed. Maintain time and production records.
Education:
High School Diploma/GED maintenance background, leadership and motivational skills. Working knowledge of most aspects of commercial and residential maintenance. Skills/Qualifications Great customer service skills, working knowledge of most aspects of commercial and residential maintenance including electrical, plumbing, appliances, draining and refrigeration.
