Job Description
The Chairlift Mechanic performs maintenance on the fixed grip chairlifts and conveyor carpets at Alpine Valley Ski Area. This is a great job for outdoor enthusiasts. Candidate must be comfortable operating an ATV and climbing towers with harness. This position is Full time and Year Round. Free Skiing/Snowboarding privileges. Pay based on experience. Basic knowledge of general maintenance. Performs maintenance checks. Greases bullwheels. Oils, fuels, and runs auxiliary motors. Performs any and all Maintenance that the lifts may need. Safety circuit -tower switches, carriages , etc. Order necessary parts and equipment. Enforce safety regulations and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records and parts inventories to meet regulatory and insurance requirements. Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with lift operators, ski patrol and coaches to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for quests. Hire, train and schedule lift operators during peak season. Ensure proper cleanliness and organization of work area.
