Duties:
Measure and interpret dimensional measurements accurately to ensure proper fit of windows and doors according to blueprint specifications and construction plans. Install a variety of window and door types using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed, ensuring secure and precise placement. Prepare surfaces by preforming drywall, framing or masonry work when necessary for seamless integration of new fixtures. Applying caulking, weatherstripping, and sealing techniques to ensure energy efficiency and weather resistance of installed units. Operate ladders safely for elevated installations, while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate installation activities effectively. Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to meet building codes and client expectations. Maintain a clean and organized worksite by properly handling tools and disposing of debris in accordance with safety standards.
Experience:
Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on window and door installation or related carpentry roles. Hands on experience using hand tools, power tools ladders, scaffolding, and heavy equipment safely on construction sites. Knowledge of building materials and installation including trim carpentry, drywall finishing, caulking, etc. Ability to perform dimensional measurements precisely. This position is offered at $25-$35 per hour, based on experience. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid time off and paid training. All applicants must have a valid driver's license and must be able to complete a DOT physical.
