Maintenance Mechanic - 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Job Description

Job description: We need you on our Team! Midwest Co-Pack in Winona is looking for a skilled and qualified Maintenance Mechanic to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as HVAC installations, respond to production needs of any equipment breakdown ensuring minimal down time on the plant floor. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. Responsibilities Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets) Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.) Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed Repair mechanical equipment (baggers, conveyors, pumps, etc.) Must be able to lift up to 56 pounds regularly during the shift Must be able to climb ladders and make repairs at higher heights Skills Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills High school diploma or equivalent Electrical, Boilers, Building Maintenance Technology or relevant field, would be a plus
