Job Description

Position Summary The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on facility machinery, equipment, and tooling. This position ensures the availability of spare parts and supplies, maintains accurate preventative maintenance documentation, inspecting and diagnosing malfunctions and breakdown, and performs repairs. This position also supports equipment setup activities. Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair facility, machinery, equipment, and tooling Perform regular preventative maintenance checks and document activities Assists in maintaining the organization of the maintenance shop and adequate parts inventory Maintain records of preventative maintenance and repairs in CMMS Record usage of spare parts in CMMS system Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures during equipment servicing Support emergency and on-call maintenance requirements Communicate and collaborate with all departments Follow and comply with all safety work rules and regulations This job description is not all-inclusive. Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications Two-year technical degree in maintenance preferred Two plus years of Maintenance Technician experience preferred Technical training in welding, electrical, pneumatics or hydraulics preferred Ability to read and follow standardized maintenance instructions and manuals, and abide by safety rules and regulations Understand and follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions Ability to read and interpret electric/hydraulic schematics and blueprints Ability to perform basic math operations Identify and resolve routine maintenance problems involving multiple variables Apply logical thinking and sound judgment in daily operations Ability to write routine reports Must communicate effectively and respectfully with others Ability to operate forklift and scissor lift required Ability to work overtime or weekends may be required Work Environment This role operates in both office and shop floor environments. It involves routine use of office equipment and frequent interaction with cross-functional teams. Shop floor exposure includes moderate noise, heat/humidity, and proximity to machinery.
Travel:
No regular travel is required for this position, but travel opportunities may be available for training or other site support needs. Physical Demands Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods Frequent use of hands/fingers to operate tools and materials Regular reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling Visual acuity for close/distance work and focus adjustment Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs., with lifting both above shoulder height and below the waist frequently Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time 2nd shift position . 2nd shift hours are Mondays-Thursdays 2:50pm-12:50am.
