Position Summary PATCO Products is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team in Grandview, Missouri. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining manufacturing and production equipment, machinery, electrical systems, and instrumentation throughout the facility. The position also performs preventive and predictive maintenance, assists with equipment installations and repairs, supports parts procurement and inventory, and helps keep plant equipment operating safely and efficiently. High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

Three (3) years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing industrial, manufacturing, production, or similar mechanical equipment preferred. Food or beverage manufacturing experience is a plus. Candidates with relevant technical or trade-school education in HVAC, industrial maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Following established procedures and under general supervision, the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues involving manufacturing and production equipment. Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine appropriate corrective actions to minimize production downtime. Perform equipment adjustments, parts replacement, lubrication, tear-downs, rebuilds, and other mechanical repairs. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant machinery and production equipment. Inspect equipment for wear, damage, mechanical failures, and other potential issues. Work with motors, pumps, conveyors, piping, production machinery, and other industrial equipment and systems. Use maintenance tools and equipment including welders, acetylene torches, power tools, drill presses, lathes, and various hand tools. Fabricate, install, modify, and repair equipment and facility components. Perform work involving mechanical systems, electrical systems, including three-phase and single-phase electrical, and other facility equipment. Read and work from work orders, piping schematics, engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and other technical documentation. Perform preventive maintenance activities including equipment inspections, parts replacement, lubrication, fluid analysis, treatment additive analysis, and efficiency checks. Assist with maintaining spare-parts inventory and appropriate inventory levels. Assist supervision with procurement of replacement parts, equipment, and maintenance supplies. Clean and sanitize equipment in accordance with Plant Operating Standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area that meets plant sanitation standards. Follow written and verbal instructions provided by the Maintenance Supervisor and other members of management. Respond appropriately to equipment failures, emergency conditions, and unsafe conditions. Follow all established safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with training employees as needed. Accurately document repairs, inspections, parts used, maintenance activities, and other relevant information. Utilize the company's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive, track, document, and complete work orders, including recording parts used, labor hours, and maintenance notes. Perform other maintenance or operational duties as assigned based on business needs. HVAC & Technical Experience Have HVAC experience or studied HVAC? We want to hear from you! General Working Environment This position works in an active manufacturing environment and may require employees to: Work directly on and around industrial manufacturing equipment and machinery. Work on or around equipment that handles acids and products at elevated temperatures. Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, face shields, heat-resistant gloves, safety shoes, and other protective equipment. Follow established vessel-entry, pipe-opening, electrical lockout/tagout, and other applicable safety procedures. Work from ladders, scaffolding, or approved elevated work platforms when required. Work around mechanical systems, electrical equipment, piping, production equipment, and other industrial processes. Physical Requirements Throughout a typical shift, employees in this position may be required to: Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Kneel, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements. Reach above and below shoulder level. Regularly climb and descend stairs throughout multiple levels of the facility. Safely lift and handle a minimum of 50 pounds. Perform duties requiring adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication to safely complete job responsibilities.
