Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift Full-Time Opportunity $19.30/hr 3rd Shift | Sunday - Thursday | 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM Are you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping equipment running at peak performance? Join a leading global consumer goods manufacturer as a Maintenance Mechanic and play a key role in supporting production operations, minimizing downtime, and ensuring equipment reliability. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industrial maintenance experience who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will support packaging line operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing manufacturing equipment to ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair packaging and production equipment Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime Install, set up, clean, and repair packaging line equipment, including: Conveyors Shrink bundling lines Shrink sleeve equipment Steam heat tunnels Tapers Weigh scales Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) Conduct equipment changeovers and line setups to support production schedules Operate packaging equipment during startup, shutdown, adjustments, and troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades Fabricate parts and assist with process improvements as needed Train and support line operators on equipment functionality and best practices Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Safety & Quality Expectations Follow all company safety policies and procedures Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), HAZCOM, PPE, and emergency action plans Complete safety audits and support corrective actions Follow quality procedures, SOPs, and work instructions Support waste reduction, recycling, and efficiency initiatives Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret: Technical manuals Schematics Diagrams Work instructions Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent attendance and dependability Ability to manage tasks independently and work professionally in a team environment Steel-toe shoes required Preferred Qualifications Electrical experience with drives, switches, motors, and control components Experience working with manufacturing and packaging equipment Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and workplace safety practices Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling Ability to work around moving equipment and machinery Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs Why Choose Manpower?
