Shift Supervisor
  • Packaging Operations St. Peters, MO $27.00/hr 3rd Shift | Sunday
  • Thursday | 11:00 PM
  • 7:30 AM Are you an experienced manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment?
We are seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead packaging operations, drive team performance, and ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant production of high-quality products. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing employees, improving processes, and creating a positive, accountable team culture. What You'll Do As the Shift Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the packaging department, leading a team of approximately 25-40 associates while ensuring production, quality, safety, and efficiency goals are achieved. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily packaging operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop packaging associates Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, respect, and continuous improvement Ensure production schedules and operational targets are met Monitor productivity, quality, labor utilization, and shift performance Assign work, balance staffing resources, and adjust priorities based on business needs Interpret and ensure compliance with Bills of Materials (BOMs), Manufacturing Instructions (MIs), SOPs, and work instructions Complete production reporting and maintain accurate operational documentation Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Planning, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve performance Lead facility-wide 5S initiatives to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workplace Champion safety initiatives through coaching, observations, and corrective actions Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, recognize achievements, and address performance concerns Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or production environment Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop teams Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production scheduling Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems Preferred Qualifications Experience working with lot-controlled products Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) SAP experience Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8-hour shift Ability to lift, push, pull, and move packaging materials as needed Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays based on business needs Maintain excellent attendance and dependability Core Competencies Leadership & Employee Development Safety Leadership Operational Excellence Lean Manufacturing Team Building Communication & Collaboration Accountability Organization & Planning Problem Solving Quality Focus Continuous Improvement Results Orientation Why Join Us?
