Job Description
Job Summary The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep throughout the hotel to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and staff. This role supports daily operations by promptly addressing maintenance requests and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the property. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting repairs Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical and equipment issues Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and document findings Maintain hotel grounds, including light landscaping and exterior upkeep Replace light bulbs, fixtures, filters, and other consumable items Assist with room turns and ensure rooms are maintenance-ready for occupancy Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance storage areas in an organized and safe manner Follow all safety procedures, brand standards, and local regulations Communicate maintenance issues or safety concerns to management Perform all other duties as assigned by management Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior hotel or facilities maintenance experience preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs Ability to use hand and power tools safely Strong problem-solving and time management skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Schedule Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed On-call availability may be required Work Environment Fast-paced hotel environment Interaction with guests, staff, and vendors
