The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and supporting the safe operation of facilities both at the Little Shell Tribal Health Clinic and for The Little Shell Tribal Offices. This position performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and general building and grounds upkeep to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment. Performs many maintenance, safety and management tasks that promote a clean and safe working environment for employees, including, but not limited to:
Maintenance and repair tasks as needed to include project clean-up on all Little Shell Tribe properties,
Minor Maintenance Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, assembling furniture and semi-permanent fixtures,
Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces, vehicles and equipment,
Perform, and/or schedule routine inspections and keep logs of maintenance work,
Coordinate outside vendors as needed and approved,
Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace,
Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as completing maintenance orders,
Create and maintain reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences.
Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.
Review service contracts for calendaring inspections as needed,
Maintain Little Shell Tribal Health Clinic Customer-Owner care rooms, Clinical Care Spaces, Laboratory and Radiology,
Follow infection prevention and Healthcare Facility Requirements,
Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections,
Checks completed work by vendors and contractors,
Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees.
Attend Safety Meetings,
Coordinate work to minimize disruption to clinical care and Tribal business,
All other duties as assigned.
A. Abilities Must be able to meet physical, hearing and vision demands of this position. B. Necessary Special Requirements - Must possess a current and valid driver's license for the state of Montana, no drug or alcohol related convictions for the last ten years. Must be able to occasionally travel out of the area. CDL and BLS preferred. C. Client Service Skills - Must possess excellent client service skills and be able to effectively and efficiently communicate with vendors and other team members D. Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and building maintenance is a plus. Conditions of Employment A. Candidates must pass a criminal background and DOJ Fingerprint check at the time of hire and periodically throughout employment. B. Candidates must possess a current Montana State driver's license and meet insurability requirements of the Tribe. Indian Preference This position is subject to the Little Shell Tribe's Indian Preference Policy. .
Pay:
From $22.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
