Job Description

Governmental agency is seeking the ideal candidate to assist in performing semi-skilled and diversified duties in connection with general maintenance, custodial work, and groundskeeping. This position offers a four day work week (Monday - Thursday) and competitive salary and benefits package. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, Section 3 applicants are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
Minor carpentry work including window and door repair, replacement of locks, repair or replacement of kitchen and bathroom cabinets and floor tiles Identifies leaks and unplugs lateral and vertical waste lines Plumbing work including repair and replacement of faucets and toilets Performs minor electrical work including replacement of wall switches, outlet, smoke detectors, GFCI's, ballasts, and light fixtures Minor repairs of stoves and refrigerators Performs general maintenance under the work order system including vacant turnaround Performs grounds and custodial work including cleaning, mowing, trimming, and edging Qualifications High School Graduate or GED equivalent required Valid NC driver's license with a clean driving record Minimum of 2 to 3 years of practical experience in related trade or field Must be experienced in operating a zero-turn mower and edger Ability to lift 50 pounds Knowledge of using a wide range of hand tools and equipment Ability to work independently Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
