Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Job description: Job description: Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper Our property management company is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician/Groundskeeper to join our team and help keep our Jacksonville mobile home community running well and looking its best. This is a hands-on role for someone reliable who takes pride in their work, solves problems without being told twice, and treats residents with respect. If you're handy across the trades and like a job where no two days look the same, we'd like to talk. What you'll do Maintain the grounds and curb appeal: mowing, edging, trimming, mulching, leaf and debris removal, trash and dumpster area upkeep, and pressure washing Keep common areas, breezeways, and amenities clean and in good repair Perform preventive maintenance and keep tools, equipment, and parts organized Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies Complete resident work orders promptly — plumbing (leaks, toilets, faucets, disposals), basic electrical (outlets, switches, fixtures), appliances, drywall patching, painting, carpentry, doors, locks, and windows Turn vacant units between residents (make-readies): repairs, paint, clean, and get them rent-ready on schedule Handle HVAC basics — filter changes, troubleshooting, and coordinating larger repairs with vendors What we're looking for 1-2 years of apartment, facilities, or general maintenance/handyman experience preferred. We'll train the right person for the job. Working knowledge across plumbing, electrical, drywall, and appliance repair Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Able to lift up to 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather Dependable, self-directed, and good with residents Must pass a background check Schedule & pay Full-time, Tuesday-Saturday, plus rotating on-call as needed $15-$18/hour, based on experience
