A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Hooked on the Mountains Vacation Rentals LLC as a Maintenance & Yard Maintenance Technician. This position will assist with the ongoing maintenance, upkeep, and appearance of the vacation rental properties managed by Hooked on the Mountains Vacation Rentals LLC. Because we operate in the hospitality industry, maintaining safe, clean, functional, and well-kept properties is an important part of providing a great experience for both our guests and property owners.
Weekly Primary Responsibilities Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs at managed properties Troubleshooting and addressing maintenance issues reported by guests, owners, or management Performing basic repairs involving items such as doors, locks, furniture, fixtures, appliances, decks, and other property features when within your ability and training Completing preventative maintenance and property inspections Assisting with urgent maintenance needs that arise at occupied vacation rental properties Mowing, weed eating, blowing, and general lawn maintenance Trimming shrubs, branches, and other vegetation as needed Removing leaves, sticks, debris, and other yard waste Maintaining the appearance of driveways, walkways, decks, patios, firepit areas, and other exterior spaces Performing seasonal exterior maintenance and cleanup Identifying property damage, safety concerns, or larger repairs that need to be brought to management's attention Taking before-and-after photographs or otherwise documenting completed work when requested Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized Assisting with other reasonable property maintenance and operational needs as assigned Because vacation rental needs can change quickly, the specific duties and properties assigned may vary from day to day. Scheduling Work schedules will be based on property needs, guest occupancy, seasonal workload, and maintenance requests. Some flexibility may be required during busy periods or when time-sensitive maintenance issues arise. Any expectations regarding evenings, weekends, holidays, or emergency/on-call availability will be communicated by management. Transportation & Driving This position requires reliable transportation and the ability to travel between properties throughout our service area. You must maintain a valid driver's license and legally required automobile insurance when using your personal vehicle for work-related travel. Tools & Equipment You are expected to properly use and care for any company-owned tools, equipment, keys, access devices, or other property provided to you. Any damaged, lost, or malfunctioning equipment should be reported promptly. You should not perform work that requires a license, certification, or specialized qualification that you do not possess. Any potentially unsafe condition should be reported to management before proceeding.
