Marine Dock Field Technician (Boat Lift Specialist)

Position Overview ABC Boat Docks, LLC is seeking an experienced and dependable Marine Dock Field Technician with boat lift installation and service experience. This hands-on position involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing boat lifts, docks, and waterfront equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, comfortable working on and around the water, and capable of performing physical outdoor work in various weather conditions. Key Responsibilities Install, service, and repair boat lift systems, including electric and hydraulic lifts. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of boat lifts and dock equipment. Assist with dock and marine structure installations, modifications, and repairs. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural issues. Operate power tools, hand tools, and marine construction equipment safely. Read blueprints, work orders, and installation specifications. Communicate professionally with customers regarding service needs and project updates. Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and marine regulations. Complete required documentation and service reports accurately. Required Qualifications Previous experience installing, servicing, or repairing boat lifts is required. Experience in marine construction, dock building, or waterfront maintenance preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Basic electrical knowledge related to boat lift motors and control systems. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience with aluminum docks, floating docks, and seawall accessories. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and marine electrical components. Equipment operation experience, including excavators, skid steers, or barges. OSHA, boating, or marine safety certifications. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Entry Level (1-2 years marine/construction experience): $22

•26/hour Experienced Boat Lift Technician (3-5+ years): $28

•35/hour Lead Technician /

Crew Lead:

$35
