Position Summary:
Perform general building carpentry and maintenance repairs for assigned equipment a facilities, to include basic carpentry, window and wall coverings, door access devices, furniture, and window glass and screens. Assist with snow and ice management. Must be available for early morning and weekend hours when snow or ice is forecasted.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma, equivalent, or higher Valid Driver's License Must be able to read, write, and understand written documents with basic MS Office experience in Word and Outlook. Physical ability to do the job; perform work that requires standing, walking, climbing, lifting, bending, and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Schedule availability for early morning, evening, weekend, and emergency snow and ice response operations. Experience in Carpentry and/or Maintenance and/or Mechanical, to include maintenance and repair work on doors, windows, locks, ceilings, drywall, furniture, or building fixtures. Ability to safely operate hand & power tools, ladders, lifts, and other equipment commonly used in maintenance and carpentry work.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 4 years of Carpentry and/or Maintenance and/or Mechanical experience in a professional setting, to include a college, university, school district, healthcare, government or commercial facility. Experience installing, maintaining or repairing commercial door hardware, automatic door operators, or access control systems. Experience with key cutting, lock pinning, re keying, or locksmith-related duties. Experience installing and finishing drywall, framing walls, or performing building remodeling projects. Experience operating snow removal and grounds equipment, such as a plow truck, tractors, skid steers, snow blowers, and commercial mowers. Experience performing preventative maintenance on equipment and tools. Experience ordering, tracking, or maintaining inventory of tools, parts, building materials, or shop supplies. Experience prioritizing and independently responding to maintenance work orders or service requests.
Compensation:
$43,000-47,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
