Maintenance Tech (Full-Time) Position Summary This role performs general maintenance and repairs for the hospital's equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, grounds, and other building systems. Accountabilities Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures) to maintain hospital and clinic facilities. Perform routine maintenance on building systems to prevent or delay repairs. Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manual for accuracy and correct outcomes. Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities for community standards. Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair to schedule repairs before problems are created. Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repair. Minimum Qualifications Basic knowledge of reading, writing, and math is required in order to give and follow written and oral instructions and perform job duties. This is normally acquired through the completion of a High School education or equivalent. Experience in maintenance and installation, construction and maintenance of equipment, utilities and buildings. Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.
