Pay Range:
$28.00 - $36.00 / hrPosition SummaryPerform hands-on mechanical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production and general plant equipment, working alongside the shift crew to keep processing and packaging lines running.
Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshooting & Repairs:
Respond immediately to shift equipment failures, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues on high-speed food production lines.
Preventive Maintenance:
Execute scheduled PM work orders issued by leadership, replacing wear-and-tear components, lubricating moving parts, and ensuring line readiness.
CMMS & Documentation:
Use the CMMS daily to log labor, pulled parts, equipment history, and complete work orders. Submit end-of-shift handoff reports.
Parts & Contractors:
Identify critical spare parts needed, assist in maintaining min/max inventory levels, and support on-site contractors.
Safety & Compliance:
Strictly enforce
LOTO, OSHA
standards, and food safety protocols (GMP/SQF/HACCP) using food-grade materials and lubricants.
Core EquipmentProcessing & Dough Prep:
Tromp laminating lines, Rheon portioners/rounders, Unifiller depositors (400, 1000, 600/601), Handtmann/Vemag fillers, Urschel grinders, and industrial mixers (Escher, AMFEC, Hobart, Tonelli).
Thermal & Freezing:
Messer/Linde spiral & tunnel freezers, Middleby Marshall/Revent ovens, Mastermatic fryers, Blentech cookers, and Cleveland kettles.
Packaging & Automation:
Sleek 65 & Weighpack flow wrappers, ADCO cartoners, Ishida/Novus X-ray & metal detectors, ABB/Fanuc robots, and Interroll motorized pulleys.
QualificationsEducation & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required (technical/trade certification preferred); 2-3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage packaging preferred).
Technical Skills:
Strong mechanical depth (gearboxes, power transmissions, pumps, bearings, alignment), fluid power systems (pneumatics/hydraulics), and basic electrical troubleshooting (up to 480V 3-phase, AC/DC motors, sensors).
Requirements:
LOTO authorization, ability to read mechanical drawings/schematics, comfortable working in freezer and oven environments, and available for weekend coverage as needed.
