Job Description
Maintenance Supervisor Maintenance Technician (NIGHTS) Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the safe and reliable operation of production equipment and facility systems during the night shift. The ideal candidate will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and complete mechanical and electrical repairs to minimize downtime and support production goals. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled equipment. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production issues to minimize downtime. Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or potential failures and recommend corrective actions. Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment documentation accurately using CMMS or maintenance tracking systems. Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), and maintain compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals. Maintain an organized work area and ensure tools, parts, and maintenance supplies are properly managed. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve equipment performance and reliability. Support emergency repairs and participate in scheduled maintenance shutdowns as required. Qualifications 1+ year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment. Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar). Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Experience performing preventive maintenance and working with CMMS systems. Relevant certifications are a plus, including electrical, HVAC, welding, forklift, or other skilled trades certifications.
