3-5+ Years Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Packaging Maintenance Technician to support their manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing packaging equipment in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with industrial or packaging machinery, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities Perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance on packaging equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment. Perform equipment changeovers with assistance. Minimize production downtime through effective troubleshooting and maintenance. Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical and safety issues. Follow cGMP, safety, housekeeping, and environmental requirements. Follow proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Read and interpret mechanical diagrams, gauges, and technical documentation. Use maintenance tools and machine-shop equipment as required. Maintain high standards of workmanship and equipment reliability. Report equipment breakdowns and safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 3-5+ years of experience maintaining packaging, manufacturing, or industrial equipment. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities. Experience with preventive maintenance. Knowledge of LOTO and industrial safety practices. Ability to read mechanical diagrams and technical documentation. Technical school certification or training preferred. cGMP/regulatory manufacturing experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb. Ability to frequently lift or move 50+ lbs. Comfortable working around moving machinery and vibration. Ability to wear required PPE, including face masks in designated areas. Training New hires will receive a three-month orientation/training period to become proficient in the position. Progress will be evaluated by the designated manager or trainer.
