Maintenance Technician Location:
Fernley, NV Pay Rate:
$18.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:30
PM Open Positions:
2 Position Summary We are seeking two skilled and dependable Maintenance Technicians to support the maintenance and repair of production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and experienced in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. This position requires hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, machining, motor controls, and general maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics and technical drawings. Maintain and repair motor controls and related electrical components. Perform welding and fabrication projects as needed. Operate and maintain machine shop equipment, including lathes and other machining tools. Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments safely and effectively. Assist with equipment installation, modifications, and process improvements. Operate forklifts and work around overhead cranes in a safe manner. Conduct routine inspections and identify potential equipment issues before failures occur. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Mechanically inclined with a strong maintenance background. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics and drawings. Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment. Knowledge of motor controls and industrial electrical systems. Welding and fabrication experience required. Experience operating a lathe and other machining equipment preferred. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools. Forklift operation experience preferred. Familiarity with overhead crane operations is a plus. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods. Ability to safely work around moving mechanical equipment and machinery.
