Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm Keep It Running, Keep It Rolling. Maintenance Technician Needed. Looking for Maintenance Technician jobs in Fernley where your technical skills keep equipment operating at its best? This opportunity allows you to troubleshoot problems, perform repairs, and help maintain the systems that keep production moving safely and efficiently. Keeping the plant in such running order as to supply enough quality and quantity of product to meet sales requirements at the lowest possible costs consistent with ethical management practices and company safety regulations. Job Duties Maintaining equipment and performing scheduled PM tasks Interacting with other departments Repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment Maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of the plant Inspection of operating machines and equipment for conformance and operational standards Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Helping to develop/implement new methods and procedures for continuous process improvement Discuss equipment needs and modifications with Maintenance Manager Willingness to undergo any training for better maintenance procedures, to improve work performance, and to help understand company policies and procedures Participate in environmental compliance activities and maintain appropriate records Help train new employees Assist in writing documentation on equipment for procedure of trouble shooting and maintenance Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred. Experience Requirements Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment. Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, or equipment documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred. Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial. Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Maintenance Technician. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift. Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures. What You Will Do As a Maintenance Technician you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations.
