Job Description
Sierra Air in Reno, NV seeks a Duct Cleaner to support our residential and light commercial HVAC customers. In this field role, you'll clean and inspect ductwork, registers, and air handlers using professional equipment, following strict safety and indoor air quality standards. Work includes jobsite prep, ladder and attic work, basic system checks, and clear communication with customers and dispatch. You'll work with modern tools, receive hands-on training, and can grow into installation, service, or leadership roles in our stable, team-focused company. Responsibilities Perform residential and light commercial duct and vent cleaning using powered equipment and vacuums Inspect ductwork, registers, and air handling components for debris, damage, and airflow issues Set up and break down work areas, ladders, hoses, and protective coverings safely and neatly Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company standards on every job site Communicate findings, basic recommendations, and job status to customers and dispatch Document work performed with notes, photos, and required forms or mobile app entries Assist HVAC technicians with access, basic maintenance tasks, and equipment handling as needed Maintain tools, vehicles, and cleaning equipment in clean, working condition Drive to jobs across the Reno area, manage time efficiently, and meet daily schedule Support team goals, training, and a customer first, professional work culture Required Skills Air duct and vent cleaning Use of negative air machines and vacuums Basic HVAC system components knowledge Safe ladder and attic work practices Jobsite safety and PPE compliance Customer communication and service Use of mobile work order or dispatch apps Basic hand and power tool use Driving and route navigation Reading simple work orders and diagrams
