High school diploma or equivalent Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, reliable, and productive operating environment through the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, tools, equipment, and utility systems. Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and schedule maintenance and repair work to support production operations
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and service activities
- Develop, implement, and modify preventive maintenance programs for facility and production equipment
- Inspect machines, equipment, and systems to ensure compliance with operational standards
- Work collaboratively with Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
- Order spare parts and replacement equipment as needed
- Respond to equipment installation and modification requests
- Document repairs and parts requests and maintain communication with affected departments
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for employees and visitors
- Follow all company policies and OSHA requirements
- Apply sound judgment when prioritizing workflow to maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous maintenance or production maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good communication skills
- Diagnostic aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex problems using appropriate tools and logical processes
- Experience with electrical, plumbing, construction, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of and adherence to LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures
- Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and parts schematics
- Ability to use common office programs, including email, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Must possess a basic set of tools, including hand tools, small power tools, and a multimeter
- Experience repairing Brown & Sharpe machines is helpful Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity and tactile, visual, and auditory acuity
- Ability to walk across uneven surfaces
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for prolonged periods
- Sustained visual and mental attention
- Occasional lifting, bending, pulling, and carrying of up to 50 pounds Schedule & Additional Requirements
