Job Description

Assistant Superintendent Co-op Employment Opportunity Our Forest Green Co-op in Islip is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and responsible individual to join our team. On call one weekend a month 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday preferably) 8am - 4pm, 1-hour lunch break This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a well-run residential community and enjoys working with people.
Compensation:
$25 hourly
Responsibilities:
Assisting the Superintendent with the daily operation and maintenance of the property. Performing routine building and grounds maintenance. Responding to shareholder maintenance requests and concerns. Keeping common areas clean, safe, and well maintained. Assisting with repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance. Helping maintain the clubhouse and other common facilities. Assisting with emergencies and after-hours building issues when needed. Working cooperatively with the Board of Directors, Superintendent, shareholders and contractors.
Qualifications:
Maintenance or building experience preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to respond to building emergencies when required.
