Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Production/Maintenance Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity in Lancaster, NY. This full-time, on-site role supports a manufacturing operation by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to keep operations running safely and efficiently. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys solving equipment issues, working with automated machinery, and contributing directly to production reliability. The work environment is collaborative, safety-focused, and built around continuous improvement. Candidates can expect supportive leadership, steady second-shift hours, and the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment in a team-oriented setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment to reduce downtime and support efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Diagnose and service mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems, including cylinders, valves, drives, sensors, and related components.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, equipment cleaning, machine changeovers, tooling replacement, and facility startup and shutdown procedures.
  • Read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment documentation to complete accurate repairs.
  • Safely rig, move, and position machinery, operate metalworking tools, and use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Support facility needs such as emergency generator changeovers, spill response, snow removal, walkway salting, pest control assistance, and ERP inventory transactions. Compensation and Benefits
  • Direct hire opportunity.
  • Salary range: $55,000 to $75,000 annually, based on experience.
  • Full-time schedule.
  • 2nd shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
  • On-site position in Lancaster, NY.
