Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a safety-focused CDL Driver to transport hazardous and industrial waste between client sites and company facilities. In this field-based role, you'll operate commercial vehicles, including tankers or vacuum trucks, perform pre/post-trip inspections, ensure DOT/OSHA and environmental compliance, and complete accurate logs. You'll support spill response and industrial service projects, work closely with dispatch and field teams, and uphold our safety-first culture while protecting the environment and delivering reliable customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL commercial vehicles to transport hazardous and industrial waste Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings Ensure full compliance with DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations Handle, load, and unload drums, totes, and bulk waste using proper PPEMaintain accurate driving logs, manifests, and regulatory paperwork Coordinate routes and schedules with dispatch and field service teams Assist with spill response and industrial cleaning projects as needed Report safety issues, incidents, and maintenance needs promptly Required Skills CDL truck driving Defensive driving Hazardous materials handling Tanker/vacuum truck operation DOT and OSHA compliance Load securement Vehicle inspection and maintenance Route planning and logging Spill response procedures Use of PPE and safety protocols
