Job Description

Position Overview quasar energy group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with proven experience in electrical troubleshooting, engine and motor systems to support our anaerobic digestion and renewable energy operations. This individual will perform mechanical, electrical, and welding work to keep plant equipment safe, functional, and efficient. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential, as is the ability to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on various engines, motors, pumps, and mechanical systems used in anaerobic digestion facilities. Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics to ensure optimal equipment performance. Utilize MIG welding to repair or fabricate components as needed. Assist with installation, alignment, and startup of new equipment. Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment histories. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, efficiency, and reliability. Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to address equipment issues and identify long‑term solutions. Always follow quasar safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements. Provide occasional guidance to junior team members; supervisory experience is a plus. Travel between 4 local facilities will be necessary. Evening and weekend response to emergencies may occasionally be necessary . Qualifications Required Proven experience working with engines and motor systems in an industrial or mechanical environment. Electrical troubleshooting skills Proficiency in MIG or Stick welding . Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude, reliability, and a can‑do mentality . Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying environmental conditions. Preferred Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, etc.). Fork-lift and Skid steer experience. Familiarity with renewable energy systems, anaerobic digestion processes, or industrial waste‑to‑energy operations (a strong plus given quasar's focus).
