Job Description

Keep two communities running right. GLR Companies is hiring a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance operations across two market-rate apartment communities totaling 76 units in Northeast Ohio. About the Role You will split your time between two market-rate apartment communities, 36 units and 40 units, keeping both to a resident-ready, inspection-ready standard every day. You will handle work orders, unit turns, preventive maintenance, and general repairs across both sites, routing your day between the two properties as work demands. Mileage between properties is paid.
What You'll Do Work Order Completion:
Complete assigned work orders in Rent Manager promptly and accurately across both properties, with clear documentation of work performed
Unit Turns:
Perform make-ready work on vacant units at both communities, including repairs, painting touch-ups, and general prep, to meet turn-time and quality standards
Preventive Maintenance:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks across both properties, covering HVAC, life-safety equipment, building systems, and seasonal work
Property Upkeep:
Support general property upkeep and respond to day-to-day maintenance needs across buildings and grounds at both sites
Inspection Support:
Help keep both properties prepared for municipal, insurance, lender, and internal inspections; correct deficiencies as assigned
On-Call Rotation:
Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls across both properties per company policy
Shop & Safety:
Keep the shop organized at each site, maintain tools and equipment, and follow safety/OSHA standards
Hands-On Repairs:
Perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, carpentry, and flooring What You Bring 2+ years of maintenance experience; multifamily/apartment maintenance experience preferred Comfortable managing your own schedule and priorities across two locations EPA 608 certification (Universal preferred) a plus Working knowledge across core trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general repair) Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation; ability to participate in on-call rotation Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; climb ladders and stairs; stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods; and work indoors and outdoors in all Northeast Ohio weather conditions.
