Identify mechanical malfunctions to execute necessary fixes, part swaps, alignments, and fine-tuning. Create custom components like bushings, pins, and shafts to keep operations running smoothly. Execute fundamental welding and cutting tasks. Execute routine preventative care and resolve intricate technical problems to ensure equipment reliability. Manage the installation and upkeep of electrical systems such as breakers, power circuits, lighting, motors, and starters. Analyze and resolve issues within electrical frameworks, specifically those involving solid-state controls. Identify and rectify faults in sophisticated computer-managed production machinery. Finalize maintenance requests and ensure all service history is precisely logged in the tracking system. Liaise with external partners and vendors to secure technical support and necessary components. Handle light facility repairs as the situation demands. Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices and junior maintenance staff to foster team growth. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment for the entire team. Contribute to 6S standards and uphold all internal safety protocols. Execute all standard duties associated with the Maintenance Tech I level. Fulfill other responsibilities as requested by management. Required Qualifications Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or a minimum of five years in a maintenance role. Proficiency in operating precision measuring tools, testing equipment, power tools, and hand tools. Comprehensive understanding of maintenance procedures, industrial materials, and machine tool operations. Capability to apply shop math and interpret technical manuals, formulas, tables, and charts. Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work safely at elevated heights. Physical capacity to lift and handle objects weighing up to 35 lbs. Ability to remain on your feet and move throughout the facility for long shifts. Compliance with PIE standards for equipment operation. Dedication to ongoing professional growth and technical skill enhancement.
