Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repair, and facility upkeep to support safe and efficient operations. This role includes troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, as well as completing basic janitorial and light maintenance tasks as needed to maintain a clean, safe, and functional work environment. Duties and Responsibilities Perform general maintenance, repair, and handyman duties throughout the facility. Troubleshoot, install, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Perform machine rebuild and repair work as assigned. Complete light building repairs such as painting, carpentry, changing light bulbs, tightening loose fixtures, and other minor maintenance tasks. Perform basic preventive maintenance functions and safely operate maintenance equipment and tools. Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, trash removal, and sanitation of restrooms and common areas. Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, urinals, lavatory partitions, and floors; refill dispensers and restock supplies as needed. Strip and wax floors, spot clean carpets, and maintain floors and common areas as scheduled. Operate the cardboard bailer and other facility equipment as needed. Inspect work areas for unsafe conditions and report concerns immediately. Ensure fire and security systems are operating properly and assist with scheduled safety inspections as needed. Follow all safety guidelines, work instructions, and company policies. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 3 to 5 years of maintenance mechanic or related work experience. Experience with janitorial, light maintenance, or facility upkeep preferred. Ability to understand and follow written work instructions. Licenses, certificates, or training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, welding, fire systems, or related areas preferred. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and basic building systems. Ability to use hand tools, maintenance equipment, and cleaning equipment safely. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to safety, cleanliness, and quality standards. Ability to communicate effectively with supervision and coworkers. Working Conditions Work is performed in a factory and general maintenance environment. Exposure to noise, electrical hazards, stored energy, construction/remodeling hazards, and cleaning chemicals may occur. Personal protective equipment may be required, including safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, and other protective gear. Physical demands may include frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and moderate to heavy lifting, depending on assignment.

Pay:

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
