Job Description

This person will perform several tasks associated with maintaining plastic injection molding equipment related to injection molders (electric and hydraulic), servo robots, grinders, trimming equipment, loader systems, facilities support and other. Duties include but are not limited to: In this role you will: Self-directed to plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance and projects. Electrical - electrical maintenance to troubleshoot, correct, and repair including power distribution from 480 volts AC down to 24 volts DC; machine electrical systems and components; knows NEC and electrical safety Read/understand mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, blueprints, sketches, and specifications to maintain equipment. Electrical schematics Ladder Logic Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and basic mechanical repairs building facilities (water systems, fan systems, compressors, lightening systems, other). Understands function and design intent of building systems. Servo driven equipment, robots Troubleshoot, initialize, and program of robots. Program and troubleshoot other systems including PLC's as needed. Work with vendors and service technicians as needed. Assists with equipment installation and removal.
WORK SCHEDULE
This position works a 12-hour schedule from 7 to 7 on a 2-2-3 day basis meaning the person works two days, is off two days, and then works three days. This schedule allows the colleague to be off every other weekend.
Maintenance duties:
Operate safely and in a manner consistent with all OSHA and internal safety policies and procedures including lock out tag out (LOTO) Troubleshoot, correct, and repair injection molding machines, robots, trim dies and all support equipment for molding operations (thermolators, loader system, grinders, conveyors, etc). The individual will respond to various equipment conditions, analyze the situation for root cause, and apply the appropriate skill to resolve the issue. Regularly perform preventative maintenance on all designated injection molding and plant equipment. Weld together metal parts, equipment pieces, etc as needed. Maintain housekeeping Adhere to standards when conducting work The person will be required to complete the OSHA and internal electrical requirements to be considered a qualified electrical person. Other duties as required
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Climbing:
Ascending and descending ladders, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
Standing:
Remaining in an upright position particularly for sustained periods of time
Pushing and Pulling:
Carts containing supplies and equipment
Lifting:
Lifting of equipment weighing 60 to 90 pounds
Vision:
Must pass tow motor qualification test
Dexterity:
Must operate hand tools and manipulate machinery using both hands
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or
GED 3 - 6
