Job Description
We are currently looking for a reliable and talented Facilities Technician to become a key member of our expanding Canton-based team. If you possess a passion for hands-on technical work and take pride in keeping facilities operating at peak performance, we invite you to apply. Your primary focus will be ensuring the safety, operational integrity, and overall upkeep of our commercial properties. We are seeking individuals with a strong background in general building maintenance, including proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility repairs. Core Duties Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to pinpoint necessary repairs and maintenance tasks Ensure mechanical systems remain operational and fully compliant with all safety regulations Manage electrical upkeep, such as swapping out lighting, outlets, and circuit breakers to keep the facility powered Support the installation and servicing of HVAC, cooling, and ventilation units to ensure climate control Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to heating, plumbing, and essential building infrastructure Monitor fire alarms and safety equipment to help maintain a secure environment for all occupants Execute general repairs on structural elements like doors, locks, windows, and hardware Carry out routine preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of facility equipment Help manage exterior grounds and landscaping to ensure the property remains professional and well-kept Execute various facility improvement tasks, including carpentry work and painting Assist with pest management and help maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace Adhere strictly to all organizational safety protocols to foster a secure workplace for the entire team Requirements Prior professional experience within building or facility maintenance environments Foundational understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, and electrical systems Familiarity with standard maintenance workflows and preventative care strategies Hands-on experience utilizing power tools, hand tools, and specialized maintenance machinery Strong analytical skills to help resolve complex facility issues efficiently Capacity to manage tasks autonomously with limited oversight Keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality work and consistent safety compliance Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and climbing Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred Desired Qualifications Formal HVAC certification or equivalent technical schooling Certificate in Building Maintenance Technology or related vocational training Relevant industry-specific maintenance certifications Proven track record in industrial or commercial facility settings Compensation and Benefits Pay rates commensurate with your professional experience Consistent full-time employment Reliable weekly compensation Eligibility for our comprehensive benefits package Clear pathways for professional growth and career development Supportive local leadership dedicated to your ongoing success Are you prepared to utilize your technical expertise in a rewarding environment?
