Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Garage Door Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining garage doors and related systems. Your expertise will ensure our customers receive top-notch service while adhering to safety standards and building codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills and construction experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities Install, repair, and replace garage doors, openers, and related hardware using hand tools and power tools Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately complete projects Conduct glass installation, door hanging, and fixture installation with precision and care Perform electrical work related to garage door systems, including wiring and troubleshooting electrical components Fabricate and modify parts as needed using welding, metal stud framing, and fabrication techniques Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs or installations clearly and professionally Skills Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in door installation, mechanical repair, and troubleshooting Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading Construction site experience including framing, carpentry (trim carpentry, cabinet installation), metal stud framing, remodeling Electrical experience for wiring garage door openers or related systems Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly Strong interpretive skills for technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics Customer service skills with a professional attitude in client interactions Knowledge of building code compliance and fixture installation techniques Handyman experience with diverse repair tasks on construction sites or remodeling projects Join us to be part of a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and excellent service.
