Job Description:
This is a skilled multi-trade position responsible for supporting and maintaining CNC Grinders, Presses, Sintering furnaces, Wet and Dry media blasters, CVD Furnaces, PVD Furnaces, and the facility that encompasses the equipment. The individual will be interacting alongside plant personnel and independently working on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and conducting PMs daily. We are hiring 3rd shift. Hours 11pm-7am. Skills Sets Electrical CNC-driven systems - Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. PLC's / Ladder Logic understanding. 3 phase & Single-phase motor control Capability of fluently reading and comprehending schematics Conduit and panel wiring installation. NEC code & NFPA 70.E comprehension & understanding Mechanical Mechanical drawing reading and comprehension Power Transmission Pneumatics Hydraulic systems and schematics Pipe fitting; Welding / Soldering / Threading Fabrication Welding - Arc, MIG and TIG Plasma Cutting Metal shaping and bending
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience as a maintenance technician supported by training from a certification program, vocational, or technical school pertaining to the skill sets listed above. The job requires frequent walking, climbing ladders, and standing for periods up to 8-12 hours a day. The applicant must be safety-minded and will be required to participate in the Kennametal Spill Response program. Will be required to pass a Respirator Medical Evaluation and participate on the Plant Emergency SCBA Response Team.
Work Environment:
 Environment with controlled temperatures and dust collection systems. Safety glasses with side-shields required. Safety shoes required. Cut resistant gloves when necessary.
Physical Demands:
 Approximately 8 hours standing/ walking with two break opportunities per eight-hour work period. Frequent reaching, climbing, and bending. Lifting up to thirty-three (33) pounds.
Problem Solving:
 Gather and analyze information, utilize learned skills, and critical reasoning to develop options and solve moderate to complex problems.
