Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our fast-paced restaurant team. This role is responsible for ensuring all equipment, facilities, and systems are functioning properly to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment for staff and customers. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to maintenance, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical components. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs to minimize downtime. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in fryers, grills, refrigeration units, beverage machines, and other restaurant equipment. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or parts replacement when necessary. Assist with minor building repairs, including painting, flooring, and lighting. Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and order replacements as needed.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred. 1-3 years of experience in maintenance or repair, preferably in a food service or hospitality environment. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Skills:
Troubleshooting and diagnostic ability Time management and prioritization Communication and teamwork Knowledge of safety protocols Preferred knowledge of Middlebee-Marshal pizza ovens, Neico broilers, and Price Castle holding equipment.
