Pay:

$24-27 per hour Monarch Investment & Management Group is hiring a Traveling Maintenance Technician to join our National Traveling Crew based in Columbus, OH. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and traveling across the country . You'll support apartment communities that need extra help—working with a skilled team to complete repairs, unit turns, and property improvements. Year 1: 80 hours Years 2-4: 120 hours 5+ years: 160 hours 20% rent discount at Monarch communities (terms apply) Tuition reimbursement program Annual anniversary gifts Additional Perks Tool reimbursement (up to $500/year) Winter boot & work pant reimbursement Employee discounts (Verizon, Expedia, Office Depot, and more) Paid EPA certification training (in-house) Key Responsibilities Complete maintenance work orders based on priority Perform unit turns / make-ready preparation Interior & exterior painting and staining General maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall) Assist with renovations, capital projects, and major repairs Support on-site maintenance teams Complete special projects as needed Qualifications 1+ year of maintenance experience (apartment or related field preferred) Experience with drywall repair, painting, and carpentry Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems Some experience with HVAC and water heaters preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Good communication skills Commitment to quality service Requirements Ability to travel for extended periods (2 weeks at a time) Valid driver's license preferred Must pass background check and drug screening "A physical demonstration of your ability to complete the basic job duties will be required during the interview process."
