Pay Rate:

$23 to $27/hr, based on experience Job Description We have an immediate need for an experienced and dependable Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day maintenance and repairs for a luxury residential apartment community. They will be responsible for completing resident work orders, apartment turns, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and general property upkeep while providing professional, courteous service to residents. W ork hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; however, you will be on-call rotation approximately every fifth week for evening and weekend emergencies.

Job Duties:

Complete resident maintenance requests and work orders promptly and professionally Perform apartment unit turns and prepare units for new residents Diagnose and complete general plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical repairs Perform basic appliance troubleshooting and repairs Complete drywall repair, patching, painting, caulking, and other interior repairs Perform preventative maintenance throughout apartments and common areas Inspect units and property areas for maintenance or safety concerns Assist with exterior and general property upkeep as needed Respond professionally to resident maintenance concerns Coordinate with property management and other maintenance personnel Maintain clean and organized work areas and properly document completed work orders Respond to legitimate emergency maintenance calls during the scheduled on-call rotation Run occasional property-related errands or pick up supplies as needed

Job Requirements Job Qualifications:

Must have previous apartment, residential, commercial, or building maintenance experience Must have a working knowledge of plumbing, basic electrical, general repairs, painting, and unit turns Must understand that maintenance in a luxury residential community requires both technical ability and excellent resident service Must own and maintain appropriate tools for the position Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple work orders Must have good hospitality, politeness, and customer service skills while being able to read, write, and communicate in English Must have the ability to work in a very fast-paced environment and prioritize work orders Must have strong customer-service skills when interacting with residents Must have a professional appearance with excellent communication skills Must be a solid work history with no attendance issues Must have a valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle that will be available at the property each workday for occasional work-related errands Must be able to work flexible hours and be on call as needed Only candidates that can pass a background, BMV check, and drug screen will be considered.
