•Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective repairs on production equipment, machinery, buildings, and property. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, able to diagnose equipment problems, and comfortable using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. This position works with moderate supervision and follows established maintenance procedures and safety standards. Maintenance Technician
•Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesInspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctionsPerform preventive maintenance on production equipment and machineryInspect drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, filters, and other componentsReplace worn or defective parts as neededDismantle machines and equipment to access and remove defective componentsSafely use hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power toolsDiagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairsReview blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs when troubleshooting equipmentRepair machinery and equipment using drills, saws, wrenches, hammers, and other toolsUse precision measuring instruments and electrical or electronic testing equipment as neededPerform corrective maintenance and equipment repairsComplete maintenance and repair work on buildings and propertyIdentify potential equipment problems and recommend corrective actionMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow established maintenance procedures and safety requirementsPerform other maintenance duties as assignedMaintenance Technician
•Additional QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred, but not required1-2 years of maintenance, mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or facilities experienceManufacturing or production maintenance experience preferredExperience with motors, belts, drives, pumps, conveyors, or other production equipment is a plusStrong mechanical troubleshooting skillsGood problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to follow standard operating procedures and maintenance schedulesWillingness to learn new equipment and maintenance processesPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reachAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and componentsAbility to safely operate hand and power toolsAbility to work around moving machinery and industrial equipmentAbility to work in varying temperatures and building or production environments
