Job Description Job Description Job Description Pool Liner Technician Job Description:
The Pool Liner Technician plays a key role in the successful installation, removal, and repair of vinyl pool liners. This position supports the pool construction department by ensuring liner projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn specialized skills within the pool industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Liner Installation & Removal Assist in measuring pools accurately to ensure correct liner fit. Help with the removal of old or damaged pool liners. Support the installation of new liners by smoothing wrinkles, setting edges, and ensuring proper alignment. Operate vacuums, pumps, and basic tools used during liner installation. Site Preparation & Construction Support Prepare work areas by cleaning debris, setting up equipment, and staging materials. Assist with filling pools, monitoring water levels, and adjusting liner tension as needed. Support construction crews with basic labor tasks as assigned. Quality, Safety & Customer Experience Ensure all work meets company quality standards and manufacturer specifications. Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of tools. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites and in company vehicles. Interact with customers professionally when present on-site. Team Collaboration Work closely with the Liner Lead/Foreman to complete projects on schedule. Communicate job progress, challenges, or equipment needs to supervisors. Support other pool construction activities during slower liner seasons. Foster a positive and supportive work environment, actively contributing to team goals and maintaining open communication with team members. Be flexible and willing to support other departments as needed, including assisting with customer sales inquiries and coordinating after-hours service needs.
Qualifications:
Education High school diploma or GED; required Experience 2 years construction experience; preferred Technical Skills Basic understanding of pool maintenance and equipment; preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:
Primarily outside in the elements
Pay:
Hourly; based on experience
Position Type:
Full-Time:
Monday - Friday; 7:30-5:00 (extended hours during peak season) Occasional weekends; emergency situations only Availability for seasonal overtime; required
