It is on the night shift, from 10pm - 6:30am, from Tuesday to Saturday. Position Description Ensure smooth production and quality control by managing the function of machinery and mechanical devices. Advocate for safety and endorse a safe working culture in all interactions with colleagues Contribute to the regular upkeep of production machinery and equipment Carry out necessary maintenance of the building/facilities Routinely perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubrication of machines Conduct regular assessments of plant machinery and moving parts Repair or replace malfunctioning equipment components Keep a neat and orderly tool and workspace Accurately complete and submit service reports Provide swift response to maintenance requests While this job description outlines the primary tasks, the role might include additional duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
Significant amount of walking on concrete surfaces Physical ability to bend, lean, stoop, or crawl Capability to lift up to 50 pounds Exposure to extremely cold environments Ability to work in an environment containing fruit Experience 3-5 years of maintenance experience is mandatory, although a technical education might be considered in lieu of experience Experience in welding, pneumatics, and hydraulics is beneficial Familiarity with refrigeration equipment maintenance and boiler repair is desirable Qualifications Must be physically fit to safely lift 50lbs Openness to work a flexible schedule of 40+ hours as required Timeliness is crucial Bilingual skills in English/Spanish are a bonus Ability to work effectively as part of a team, but also able to work autonomously with little supervision Willingness to be on call if necessary Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting up to 480 volts is advantageous Adherence to company safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices Regular attendance and promptness are necessary as the role involves working with people, items, and equipment onsite Education High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
