We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Portland, OR! Maintenance Technicians are responsible for ensuring all production systems and equipment are maintained to operate optimally.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Work safely in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide maintenance support in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment, disassembling and reassembling of machinery, overhaul gearboxes, and replace bearings, bushings, pumps etc. Perform mechanical work e.g., conveyor bearing and chain replacement, major equipment overhaul, motor/gearbox replacements, valve and pump maintenance, and lube routes. Interpret schematics and equipment manuals. Adhere to plant safety and sanitation requirements; Complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). Be part of an effective work planning process that utilizes work order, planners, and part staging. Assist with process improvement and initiate change. Analyze knowledge & process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities. Ensure tools and cabinets stay in compliance with 6S. Document all work, calibrations and WO's using CMMS. Performing preventive maintenance Understands and is familiar with LOTO/confined entry and all other safety protocols. Maintains attendance and punctuality according to company policy.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
A team player, open to learn and willing to contribute to all areas of the brewery as needed. Understands basic electrical troubleshooting, with the understanding that they are controlled by PLC based control systems (Allen Bradley & Siemens); experience with basic mechanical skills; understands basic PM practices, work order systems, and TPM. Ability to read blueprints, drawings, schematics, specifications, codes, electrical formulas, and handbooks. LME/Journeyman electrician certification is preferred but not required. Welding preferred but not required. 2+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with CMMS preferred (AMMS).
