The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for helping to eliminate minor stops and equipment breakdowns. A qualified candidate will keep equipment in good working order and help avoid production downtime by performing preventive and unscheduled maintenance and repairs as needed. This role will also be responsible for carrying out general facility maintenance and assisting in preventive maintenance duties throughout the facility. The Maintenance Technician I ensures safety, reliability, and completion of required property and equipment maintenance in an efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other assignments, projects, and duties may be required: Perform general repairs and maintenance of specialized machinery and mechanical equipment such as rebuilding pumps or troubleshooting equipment. Provide on-call services for production personnel outside of regular hours as needed. Manage maintenance requests, assist in preventive maintenance scheduling, and ensure timely completion of tasks. Organize parts and other inventory items within the warehouse. Suggest parts that need to be purchased. Complete PM (Preventive Maintenance) documentation and record identified maintenance needs. Participate in various meetings and complete additional projects and tasks as requested. Work closely with Operations or Formulation to monitor equipment status and performance, making recommendations and performing basic upgrades as appropriate. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following company procedures, rules, and regulations. Assist Operations or other departments as needed when additional help is required. All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
0-1 years of experience as a maintenance technician. Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability. Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent time management, organization, and teamwork. Ability to follow instructions and learn new systems. Strong work ethic and reliability.
