General Shop and Yard Maintenance
Job Description

As a General Shop and Yard Maintenance Worker, you will play an essential role in supporting daily operations by maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the warehouse and yard. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of warehouse floors, break areas, restrooms, and exterior spaces through regular sweeping and trash removal Perform minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing door hardware, patching walls, and repairing shelving Monitor the facility for issues such as plumbing leaks, electrical concerns, or structural damage and promptly report them to management Track inventory of maintenance supplies and notify management when restocking is needed Assist with routine upkeep and basic maintenance of facility equipment Transport company trucks and equipment vehicles to inspection stations for required inspections Move and reposition trucks, trailers, and equipment within the yard to support daily operations and organization Assist with fueling, cleaning, and performing basic readiness checks on company vehicles and equipment Report any vehicle issues observed during transport to the appropriate supervisor Qualifications Valid driver's license (required for vehicle transport duties) Ability to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties safely and effectively Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing for extended periods Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, or electrical repairs and general maintenance procedures Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, dust, and noise Ability to operate company vehicles safely in local traffic conditions Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed (up to 25 hours per week) Offered compensation: $16.50/hr - $18.50/hr Experience and License Requirements Able to drive heavy equipment (optional) CDL (optional) Experience (optional) General Driving Medical Card (optional) Towing Works well with tools and equipment
